Channel 4 [PDR System]

Channel 4 had a requirement for the implementation of a new PDR database solution to enable the capture of Progress and Development Review data.

The current method of capturing this information is a combination of paper based form filling, followed by the entry of the information onto an Excel spreadsheet.

Some of the main problems encountered which Channel 4 wanted to address are as follows:
1. No ability to have multiple people entering data simultaneously.
2. Reporting is not suitable, as Excel’s reporting functionality is not suitable for this type of information.
3. The volume of data will constantly be growing (approx 1,500 PDRs per year).
